It seems that patches are the realm of the cool and savvy these days. Check out Punkypins for super cool iron on ones, and at that price you can cover a whole denim jacket, personalise your jeans, or add to any accessories to achieve an out of the ordinary signature style. I also love their pins, stickers, and even necklaces, it all makes me feel like I have my own personal time machine.
I particularly love how they rock patches and monograms at Crosslow, have a look at they trilbies and rock and roll new baskets (I was already a fan of the pompom ones). I normally leave baskets to the summer, but these ones I would happily wear in the coldest of winter days, just to lighten it up.
